Conversion of Hofstrasse
The listed property at Hofstrasse 1a in Luzern was converted, refurbished and extended vertically (here and there horizontally as well). The apartments were later sold as condominiums.

We provided this exciting conversion project with a number of services throughout its realisation. Bearing in mind the historic nature of the structure, one of the challenges was providing sustainable solutions that complied with the energy regulations; this included coming up with ingenious ways of interfacing new and existing building components that would endure in the long term. The context, which involved many different existing ceilings, listed elements (both exterior and interior) and the fact that owner-occupied apartments were being created, required detailed acoustic insulation and soundproofing measures.
