Apprenticeship as a carpenter followed by a degree in civil engineering at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland in Muttenz. Started working life in 1997 as a building physicist and acoustician. Continuing education through courses and self-study. Swiss Acoustical Society (SGA-SSA) acoustician. Work-life balance through family, music, sports and nature. Has taught building physics and acoustics at a professional education institution and on branch courses since 2013; regularly gives specialist lectures. President of the Standards Committee SIA 181 since 2014. Site manager, partner and member of the Board of Directors. With Gartenmann Engineering since 2007.
